HYDRAULIC POWERPACKS

Hydrosta is a manufacture of complete hydraulic systems. We also manufacture custom build Power Packs.
All desired functions are gathered in a compact, tailor-made hydraulic system.
In most of the cases a universal steel tank can be used.
This tank is anti-vibration mounted and equipped with level gauge, a thermometer, filter and level switch.
The configuration and layout has to be chosen, related to your wishes and hydraulic needs.
There is no outside tubing at the valveblock system, then to the hydraulic users.
Our valveblock system is bankable, just add one if you need it.
Each section can be adjusted separately according to power and speed.

The directional control valves used on these valveblocks are CETOP, the most accepted worldwide standard.

If in combination with a powered steering installation, priority is always given to this installation.

HYDRAULIC BOW- AND STERNTHRUSTERS

DESIGN
Compactness and sturdiness characterize the Sider while the hydrodynamic shapes of the housing and propellerhub minimises the water resistance to upgrade efficiency.
The concept of counter rotating propellers makes it possible to gain thrust out of a specific tunnel diameter.
The hydraulic thrusters are permitted to operate continuously.

TECHNICAL
Due to the use of lifetime grease for the bearings and gearing set, the Sider requires no maintainance.
A labyrinth between the propellerhub and the housing protects the double shaftseals against fishing lines.
The thruster is to be mounted using only two bolts and will center itself within the tunnel.
The 15, 22, and 35hp types are delivered with a gearmotor, the 45hp and heavier versions a piston motor is included.



MATERIALS
The Siders are fabricated out of specific materials that suit best for an aggressive seawater environment. Still for protection anodes must be mounted.
The housing and propellers are casted out of “zincfree” aluminiumbronze* and do not need coating or painting.
The all thrusters are also available with a aluminum housing and stainless steel propellers. These aluminum thrusters needs to be coated.

HYDRAULIC SWING BOW- AND STERNTHRUSTERS


The SWING SIDER® is a retractable hydraulic bowthruster with counter rotating propellers.
Our new line ranges from 45 upto 200 HP.
This Swing is designed using a new technology gearing set, which enables to mount the hydraulic motor inside the ship. The new gearing set also offers a higher efficiency than conventional gearing sets.

HY-PROP (HYDRAULIC PROPULSION)


The Hy-Prop® is a steerable propellor propulsion unit, driven by a hydraulic system up to 250 HP.
The major advantage is the excellent manouverabilty.
Steering is done by rotating the entire unit by 2 x 90° steering angle.
Together with our HSS-2000® control system it offers many more convenient advantages as an efficient fuel consumption.
